There’s something about pinwheels that screams summer-time to me.
With 4th of July only being only two weeks away from the official start of summer, it’s the perfect match in my opinion!
So today, just in time to celebrate Independence Day, I thought I’d share a patriotic pinwheel printable freebie with you. I hope you’ll enjoy the little craft! ;)
What you’ll need:
- Card stock
- Printer
- Scissors
- Glue
- Straight pins with a head
- Pliers
- Paper lollipop sticks
Click the image above or here to download the free printable.
I’m partying here! ♥

Liebe Vanessa,

Also — what program do you create your image collages in? They are so aesthetically pleasing, it’s not even funny.

Jess, thank you so much for your super-sweet comments! :)
I used Photoshop for this collages. So happy you like it! I had so many photos for this post, that it just seemed easiest (and shortest) to combine them in a collage. Hehe
I hope you’re having a wonderful week!

Thanks so much for the pinwheel project and patterns. Love 7/4 projects, I seem to collect more every year. Pinwheels are so summery and happy looking. I remember what fun pinwheels were when I was a kid„ (and that’s a long time ago). lol Hope you’re enjoying your time in Germany. Do you miss the American holidays? So glad for the internet so I can meet people like yourself. Happy Summer
Thank you so much for your sweet comment! :)
We’re enjoying our time here in Germany. Even more so today, that the German soccer team made it into the half finals in the Euro Cup. Yay!
And yes, I do miss some of the American holidays. I loved watching the fireworks for 4th of July! ;)
Happy Summer to you, too!

Oh my gosh those are just adorable! Pinwheels are so “summer” to me and these are just great. It’s ridiculously windy here right now, so I’ll have to make some to stick on our balcony. Hopefully it’s not too windy… Thanks for linking this up at The Fun In Functional!

Thanks so much for this file. It is just adorable and has saved me a lot of time. I have been wanting to make some pinwheels for 4th of July decorations and this is perfect. I converted the PDF to a PNG file and imported it to my Silhouette Cameo to print and cut. Saved a lot of time. Thanks again.
Thank you so much for your sweet comment, Trisha! I’m so happy to hear that my little project worked out well for you! :)
I wish I had a Silhouette. I had to cut everything by hand, hehe.
