{mousepad makeover}

59

Sometimes the simplest projects are the greatest! This little DIY craft only takes about 5 minutes to make and can spruce up your old, worn mousepad!
The best part: it’s nifty & thrifty! Just use some leftover fabric and a mousepad that would otherwise deserve the kick to the curb.

What you’ll need:

  • old (falling apart) mousepad
  • scrap fabric
  • spray glue
  • scissors or rotary cutter

PS: After having the “new” mousepad in use for a few weeks now, I would recommend using some fray check to keep the edges crisp. ;)

{floral friday #68}

Welcome to this week’s {floral friday}!

A couple weeks ago I walked past a little flower shop and saw this fun looking plant. When I saw its name,  I was sold! Let me introduce to you: Senorita Rosalita! ;)

A few facts about Senorita Rosalita Cleome:

  • Senorita Rosalita is also known as spider flower because the projecting stamens of the flowers give these plants a spidery look.
  • It blooms from late spring through frost.
  • This hardy plant can take summer’s heat and is drought-tolerant. {source}
  • The Cleome Senorita Rosalita has some special qualities that set it apart from other cleomes: no sticky stems, no foul odor and no thorns.
