Welcome to this week’s {floral friday}!
Things have been crazy busy around here and I don’t get to “work” on my blog as much as I would like to. So, getting help from my talented mother, contributing floral friday pictures, is a true blessing right now. :)
The flower I’m sharing with you today is a Wisteria.
A few facts about the Wisteria:
- There are two types of Wisteria: Japanese Wisteria and the larger blooming Chinese Wisteria.
- Some Wisteria don’t produce blooms for the first 15 years.
- The English botanist Thomas Nuttall named the genus for Caspar Wistar (1761−1818), a professor of anatomy at the University of Pennsylvania, though the reason for the change in spelling of his last name remains unclear. {source}
- Wisteria symbolizes many things, including: honor, memory, patience, endurance, longevity, exploration, creative expansion and victory over hardships. {source}

I’m partying here! ❤
