Welcome to this week’s {floral friday}!
Things are still a bit crazy around here and I just haven’t had time to do anything really. So once again, I am SO grateful for my mom to let me use some of her beautiful photography and share it with you on my {floral friday}!
I know I already posted about the “sister” of this beauty, but I still wanted to share this fun-looking plant with you. ;)
A few facts about the campanula:
- Common names are Bluebell, Bellflower, Chimney Bells, Canterbury Bells, Stars-of-Bethlehem and Falling Stars.

The flowers are bell-, star– or funnel-shaped, are 1 inch to 2 inches wide and come in loose clusters at the ends of long stems.
- The genus name “Campanula” comes from the Latin word “campana” for “bell,” referring to the bell– shaped flowers. {source}
- The Brothers Grimm’s tale Rapunzel took its name from this plant. {source}

Love these!!! In the US, Trader Joe’s starts selling beautiful little pots of campenulas for $5.99 in lots of great colors. I think I may have to go get me one!
