Welcome to this week’s {nifty thrifty sunday}!

I am really sorry for not having posted in over a week and missing the last {nifty thrifty sunday}..
Some of you might remember me telling about my husband having been to the emergency room a couple of times last month. Well, he ended up having to be admitted to the hospital and spent 2 days in ICU and another 5 days in a regular room, after having to go through emergency surgery. I was with him every waking hour, trying to give him all the strength I could give him. Unfortunately I was also struck down by a cold at the same time and could only see him with a facial mask.
This is the second day back home and he is doing much, much better. My cold is pretty much gone by now, too, and we can enjoy some lazy hours on the couch. ;)

      Vielen lieben Dank, Annika! :) Es war wirklich beängstigend in der letzten Woche, aber zum Glück scheint alles gut verlaufen zu sein und meinem Hubby geht’s schon wieder viel besser. Da kommt einem so ne olle Erkältung wirklich lächerlich vor, hehe.

    Today I shared Preparing Beef Heart and Heart Kebobs Recipe. I originally made this recipe after we butchered our first steer but now I purchase beef heart from a grass fed beef farmer locally — it is just that good!
