{easter: carrot napkin holders}

These little napkin holders are perfect for a fun and colorful easter table decoration! And, they’re quick and easy. So, it would be a perfect craft to do with your kids.

And that is exactly what my mom and I used to do when I was a kid. This year we remembered this fun little craft and thought we’d make them again for this year’s table decoration.

What you’ll need:

  • orange construction paper
  • green napkins
  • glue or tape
  • pen or stencils (optional)

We forgot to take pictures along the way, but I think it’s pretty straight-forward.

How to:

  1. Cut the construction paper as shown above.
  2. If desired, stencil, write or draw a design on the paper.
  3. Roll up the paper into a cone.
  4. Use glue or tape to secure the cone.
  5. Unfold the napkin and gather it in the center.
  6. Insert it into the cone.
  7. Done!

My mom made this cute easter egg last year. It says “Frohe Ostern” — Happy Easter!

I hope everyone had a lovely Easter weekend and enjoyed some family time!
We celebrated Easter by having a wonderful, delicious Easter brunch in my mom’s beautiful backyard. So, all the decorating credit goes to her! ;)
I love all the detail she added to her already beautiful little piece of heaven behind her house!

{easter treat boxes}

Easter is just around the corner.. Time to do some last minute crafting! :)
So, with Easter coming soon, I decided to make a few Easter treat boxes.
I found these super cute pink bunny wrapped chocolate eggs filled with m&m’s and thought it would be fun to “hide” them in these sewn paper packages. Aren’t they cute?

Materials you’ll need:

  • paper (I cut mine to 5 1/2 in. x 4 in.)
  • double-sided tape
  • sewing machine and thread
  • funky scissors
  • candy

How to:

  1. Cut the paper to size, depending on how big you want the pouch to be.
  2. Place double-sided tape on one of the short sides and roll the paper into a tube, taping the sides together.
  3. Press one side of the roll together and sew shut with the sewing machine.
  4. Fill the little pouch with treats.
  5. Press the other side of the box together, 90°s to the opposite side.
  6. Sew shut with sewing machine.
  7. Cut the sides of the box with funky scissors of your choice.
