Aren’t those just the prettiest waffles?! They’re so delicate and beautiful looking.. And delicious! ;)

My mom and grandma discovered the rosette waffle iron hidden somewhere in the back corner of my grandma’s kitchen last year. She inherited it from her mom; my great-grandma.

They made these waffles for my hubby’s birthday (which was back in November), but I’m just now getting around to posting it. I hope you like them as much as I did. Yum!

Sometimes I’m not sure if I really like Sundays.. Even though I do love sleeping in and/or being lazy on a rainy Sunday afternoon, it also means that it’s back to the grind the next day.. ;)

All the stores here in Germany are closed on Sundays, so if we get short-notice visitors on a Sunday (like we did a couple weekends back) and I want to bake a little something, I have to resort to what I have at home.

I make sure I keep the ingredients for this delicious cake at home at all times. It’s easy to make and SO yummy!

Lil' Luna Guest Post Header

Hi there Nifty Thrifty friends!! Kristyn from Lil’ Luna here. I’m so excited to be doing a guest post for Vanessa. The girl is my favorite, and I use her for all my cute design needs!! Isn’t she so stinkin’ talented? I sure think so. :)

Well, today I am going to be sharing with you a super easy and quick appetizer idea. My family is huge on appetizers, and we are always looking for good ones. This Easy Bruschetta recipe happens to be one of those…

Not only is it DELICIOUS, but it is so simple to make. :)

Here is how you can make it too:

EASY HOMEMADE BRUSCHETTA:

INGREDIENTS:

- 1 — 32 oz. can Italian Diced Tomatoes

- 6 cloves Garlic

- 4 TB Olive Oil

- 3/4 cup basil

DIRECTIONS:

1. Put all ingredients in a bowl and mix right before serving.

For easy bread pieces to go with the bruschetta, I’ll show what we do…

1. Buy hogi sandwich rolls. Cut in slices and place on a cookie sheet.

2. Butter slices and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Broil on HIGH for 2–5 minutes (dependent on how fast and hot your oven is).

Serve the bread pieces with your bruschetta.

Talk about an easy, quick and yummy appetizer! I promise you’ll love this.

It is a family favorite that can be made so easily and tastes so good!

For more fun recipes as well as some great crafts, printables and tutorials come on over to Lil’ Luna to say hi. I’d love to see you!!

ENJOY!

PS — Thanks for having me, Vanessa!

I know most of you probably can’t look at Christmas cookies any more without getting a belly ache after all the Christmas goodness.. I decided to still share one of the most delicious recipes I know: Vanillekipferl.

My mom makes these every year and I just couldn’t imagine a Christmas Season without them. She was generous enough to share her recipe and photos with us today. Thank you, Mama! :)
