{cinnamon twists & rolls}

Every now and them I make these yummies as dessert for the hubby and I. It's a quick and easy dessert that doesn't need much prep time and doesn't require much thought. It's so easy to make that I don't even have a real recipe. Just a list of ingredients. ;)

{cinnamon twists & rolls}

By Published:

  • Prep:
  • Cook:
  • Ready In:

a delicious puff pastry treat

Ingredients

  • 1 box frozen puff pastry
  • some sugar
  • some cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to about 400°F (200°C).
  2. Fold out the sheets of puff pastry.
  3. Combine sugar with cinnamon to taste.
  4. Sprinkle the sugar & cinnamon mixture over the puff pastry sheet.
  5. For the twist: Cut the pastry into strips of about 1 inch. Fold the strips in half and twist.
  6. For the rolls: Roll up the pastry into a log. Using a sharp knife, cut up the log into 1 inch slices. If you want cinnamon rolls on a stick, carefully insert a wooden skewer (thanks again Starbucks! ;) ) into the side of each roll. The stick should almost go all the way through the roll.
  7. Place on a baking sheet lined with paper.
  8. Bake until golden brown.
  9. Note: The cinnamon rolls on a stick are delicious when dipped in freshly made apple sauce! Yum! :)
