{floral friday #37}

Wow! Has it really been over a month since my last {floral friday} post?!
So, welcome to this week’s month’s {floral friday}!
Today, I have several flowers to share with you and some of them I don’t even know the name of.. Oops!
While the hubby and I were enjoying being in our other home, Texas, my mom and one of her close friends got to experience a completely different “world”. They went to Vietnam for three weeks and brought home some amazing pictures. Along with photographs of the incredible country, my mom brought back some beautiful flower shots.
Here are some of my favorite:
anthurium
plumeria
ginger
hibiscus
heliconia
crown of thorns
coral bean tree
alamanda
ixora
bauhinia
peacock flower
java glorybower
lipstick tree
water lily
water lily
PS: If you happen to know any of the untitled flower names, please let me know and I’ll add it to the description.
Oh, and please also let me know if I didn’t identify any of the above flowers correctly. :)

I’m partying here

Such lovely flowers, makes me miss my mom’s home in Malaysia.
I know some of the flowers. The yellow one is called Yellow Alamanda. My mom planted them all around our yard. But they doesnt really smell like anything, but still very pretty to look at from afar.
And the one below that is Ixora. In Malay we called them ‘Jejarum’ which means needles literaly! They does look like pretty flowery needles, right?

Thanks for sharing these lovely pictures. We have some pretty flowers in our flower beds each spring and summer and I always say I’m going to take pictures of the blooms, but never do. I’m not sure my camera is good enough to take this quality, but I should still give it a try. Thanks for the inspiration. :)
