{guest post: mother crafter}

Hola Nifty Thrifty readers! I am Vanina from Mother Crafter. I am thrilled to be invited by Vanessa to be a guest blogger! I have been following NTT for a while now and I love it, just like you!
I am originally from Argentina but I’ve been living here in the States for more than 11 years. I am a stay-at-home mother of a beautiful 10 month old girl, Paloma, and I live in a funky home in Northern California with my husband Michael, my dog Juancho and Bob The Super Cat.
I created Mother Crafter in May of this year to share fun tutorials, stimulus, and information about living a design-conscious life on a low budget. And to keep me sane while staying at home. Ha!
I make stuff with my hands that make me and other people happy, reusing and salvaging things as much as I can to make good for the planet. I believe that you can boost your happiness through creativity!
Here are a few of my favorite projects.
I would like to share with you a tutorial for a Japanese Tree Pincushion that I made for my 30 Days of Creativity pledge last June. The trunk of my tree has an empty spool inside that supports it so you can put it on the bobbin winder while you sew to have all the pins available at the touch of your fingers!
Here is another tutorial for a cute pacifier clip holder made out of old lanyards and a keychain plushie for Paloma and my friend Julieta’s baby, Emma.
And lastly, here is a fun project to turn an old and forgotten bookshelf into fresh new planters that my wonderful husband Michael helped me make.
I hope you will all find creative ways to enhance your lifestyle and feel inspired by our blogs. Thank you Vanessa for having me! Love to all.
