{mousepad makeover}

Sometimes the simplest projects are the greatest! This little DIY craft only takes about 5 minutes to make and can spruce up your old, worn mousepad!
The best part: it's nifty & thrifty! Just use some leftover fabric and a mousepad that would otherwise deserve the kick to the curb.

What you'll need:

  • old (falling apart) mousepad
  • scrap fabric
  • spray glue
  • scissors or rotary cutter

PS: After having the "new" mousepad in use for a few weeks now, I would recommend using some fray check to keep the edges crisp. ;)

I'm partying here! ♥

    I just love that spray adhesive makes it so much easier to re-do some things like a mouse pad. Great make over!

    This is cute and simple, Vanessa. I didn’t realize the old fabric would just peel off like this. Makes it easy to make your mouse to coordinate with your room. : ) Hope you’ll stop by and share it at Frugal Treasures Tuesday.

    Well,, how quick and cute is that? I don’t suppose you would like to know that I once picked up a can of that with the nozzle aimed towards me? You think my hair is bad now? You should have seen it then! xo Diana

    How did you know I need to fix my mousepad??? Seriously, it is falling apart. My only problem is, it’s heart shaped. I wonder if I could cut it out with the rotary tool just as easily? We’ll see…Thanks for linking up to Gettin‘ Krafty With It this week!

      Hehe, I guess I did the post just in time then! :)
      Let me know how it works out with the heart shaped mousepad! Maybe it would be easier to cut the round corners with scissors?
      Thank you for your sweet comments!

    Your feature on The 36th Avenue couldn’t have come at a better time! I was just cleaning up my Office yesterday and couldn’t believe how pathetic my mouse pad looks compared to everything around it. I’m sure that top layer will just rip right off and I have a vast selection of spray adhesive at my disposal :)

    I follow your blog so I’m sure I read this when it was originally posted, I just needed a reminder!

    Thanks, Vanessa!
