Happy Friday and also happy {floral friday}!
I hope y’all will have a wonderful start into the weekend and enjoy some time off! :)
On Tuesday I took my brother to his workplace, so I could take his car for the day. He is an apprentice for becoming a golf trainer and works out in the “sticks” — about a 45 minute drive from here.
I love driving there and seeing the beautiful countryside. On my way back I came across a sunflower field. Unfortunately they weren’t all in full bloom yet, but that didn’t stop me from pulling over and cutting off a couple stems. No, I didn’t steal them. ;) Out in the country they have fields of flowers that you can cut and just donate some money into the money box. They even provide the knifes to cut the flowers. Fun and easy!

A few facts about sunflowers:
  • The sunflower can grow up to 18 feet high.
  • A single sunflower can have 2000 seeds.
  • Sunflowers move their heads following the sun.
  • The name sunflower comes from its scientific name, Helianthus. Helious meaning sun and Anthos meaning flower. (source)
