{floral friday #23}
Welcome to this week’s {floral friday}!! I hope you all are having a wonderful start into a wonderful weekend!
The featured flower for this week is honeysuckle. Another beautiful flower I photographed in my mom’s backyard. I really don’t know how she can fit so many different plants in her little piece of heaven behind her tiny house.. ;)

A few facts about honeysuckle:
  • The fragrance of honeysuckle is strongest in the evening.
  • There are at least 65 different species of honeysuckle.
  • Honeysuckle works well against internal infections, and it can also be used externally for skin irritations and infections. (source)
  • Honeysuckle are not grown commercially but are easily propagated in the home garden.

    I just posted on our garden…and honeysuckle was featured! We planted it last summer and this is the first time it’s had a chance to really bloom… it’s so gorgeous!
    Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

    Honeysuckle reminds me of childhood. They have such a sweet scent and we used to fight over who got to taste them!

    Our honeysuckle is in bloom right now … it is right near the front door and I can smell it’s evening fragrance clear into the house!

    I like your pink ones … ours are yellow (not native) and orange (native).
