{floral friday #27}
Welcome to this week’s {floral friday}!
This week I’m sharing the Gladiolus with you. I picked up these beauties at a self-picking flower field outside of town a little while back and gave them to my mom. She took these wonderful pictures in return. ;)

A few facts about Gladioli:
  • Gladiolus was named for the shape of its leaves and stems from the Latin word gladius, meaning “sword”. (source)
  • Due to this fact, the Gladiolus is also known as sword lily.
  • Gladioli are summer flowers and bloom between May and October.
