{floral friday #57}

May 11, 2012

Happy {floral friday}!

This week’s flower shots were taken by my wonderful mom. I’m so happy she helps me out with floral photos, whenever I don’t get around to go flower hunting. I hope you’ll enjoy these beautiful almond blossom as much as I do! ;)

A few facts about almond blossoms:

  • The flowers range from white to pink, have five petals and often resemble small roses. {source}
  • The almond tree belongs to the rose family, Rosaceae, and is a cousin to other important fruit crops like apricots, cherries, peaches and nectarines that all belong to the botanical genus Prunus. {source}

I’m partying here! ♥
