Today I’m sharing pictures of a Japanese Anemone with you. Isn’t she beautiful? ;)

A few facts about the Japanese Anemone:

  • The word Anemone comes from the Greek word “anemos”, meaning wind. That’s why the flower is also known as Windflower.
  • Even though they are called Japanese Anemones, these flowers are actually native to central China. {source}
  • Japanese anemone are an easy to grow perennial flower.
  • Anemone is also used as a medicinal relief to reduce cramps, regulate menstrual cycles and helps in managing mood troubles, depression and distress. {source}

    My white ones in the yard are still goin’ strong, even with the cooler days and pouring down rain. Definitely a workhorse plant. So pretty.

    Hello Vanessa,
    The Japanese Anemone is a beauty, I love the pictures. The pink looks so fresh and it pops out of the pictures a bit. Very nice!

    I was so excited to see your Anemones. One of my most favorite fall flower/plant. Mine did very bad this year because of drought, but I so enjoyed and brought a lift to my heart when I seen yours.
