{floral friday #79}

November 9, 2012

Welcome to this week’s {floral friday}!

This is another flower whose pictures I’ve taken at the botanical garden. The blue trumpet vine.

A few facts about the blue trumpet vine:

  • The blue trumpet vine is also known as blue sky vine, bengal trumpet and by the scientific name thunbergia grandiflora.
  • This species is native to the Indian sub-continent (i.e north-eastern India, Bhutan and Nepal), southern China and Myanmar. {source}
  • The blue trumpet vine is an evergreen vine and an aggressive climber that will cover its support structure in one season. {source}

I’m partying here! ♥
