This week I brought home some Spring Snowflakes, that my mom and I picked up from the park last night. We went on another mother-daughter date and hit up the local TK Maxx. Don’t ask me why, but it’s TK instead of TJ over here.. Maybe it’s so it doesn’t sound so weird if you say it in German — TK sounds not much different in German or English, but J is pronounced like “yott” which doesn’t roll off the tongue that well..
- Snowflake flowers are native to southern Europe.
- The Greek word is Leucojum, which means “white violet” — their sweet scent does remind of violets a lot.
- All parts of this flower are poisonous if ingested.
- Spring Snowflakes will return every year.
