{framed white}

Last night I worked on a little 10 minute project.

I was tired of looking at this (puke) green frame and didn’t like how our wedding picture looked in it anymore. So I decided to just turn it white — one of my favorite colors to decorate my home with.

{framed white}
The white color is the leftover paint I used for my type case project — white acrylic. Instead of covering it completely though, I just used a rough brush and only applied one coat of paint. Afterwards I used sand paper to roughen the look of the frame even more.
I’m in love with my “new” picture frame!

PS: The frame was one of my really thrifty finds. Somebody had just thrown it out for it to find a new home. :)

    You did a beautiful job on the frame. I would be proud of it to. You have a wonder blog, and I’ll always continue to come to it since we both are Texas/Germany living.

    Much better white! But love that you sanded it so you still see a hint of the green. Thanks for linking this as well!

    Yes, the white is a definite improvement for this sweet sweet photo. Hey, we had a VW Bug when we got married, then a VW pickup but never a bus!

    Unfortunately the VW bus was not ours.. We got married at a cute Bed & Breakfast and it was the owner’s car. Very cute though! :)
