Out and About/ Photography

{pictures from holland}

We are back from a wonderful 4-day trip to Holland!
Our destination was Soest, which is located about 45 minutes outside of Amsterdam. Our friends (who moved from Texas to Europe last year as well) invited us to spend a long weekend with them.
We arrived around 5pm on Friday afternoon and spent the evening in their cute little town.

On Saturday we took the train to Amsterdam, where we spent all day walking around, gazing at the beautiful buildings and canals. We bought lunch at a local store and had a picnic in Vondelpark. Before leaving this beautiful city we took a boat tour through the Grachten (canals). Very worth the 8€!

We spent Sunday morning in the dunes in Soest. I've never seen so much sand that's not by the beach..

And went to Amersfoort after lunch to walk around town. Amersfoort is a really cute little town. Definitely worth a stop when you're traveling by! ;)

    So pretty! I visited Holland for several days {about 10 years ago} and loved it, but didn't have time to see much other than Amsterdam. I'd love to go back and do more exploring.

    I love your beautiful pictures! They remind me of my trip to Holland 10 years ago. It's always fun to do some armchair traveling through others' blogs. I posted my pics from Washington, D.C. here if you want to check them out!

    Beautiful photos! I think my favorite are the dunes. The trees are such a cool shape. Holland looks like a very cool place to visit. I definitely want to go there someday. Thanks for sharing!
