Baking/ Holiday/ Recipes/ Valentine's Day

{valentine’s pie hearts}

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and for that occasion, my mom and I made our first pie! :)

Not an ordinary pie though - a heart shaped pie. On a stick! Is there anything better than food on a stick?! This treat is guaranteed to put a smile on anyone's face receiving these little pie hearts as a Valentine's gift!

We also created a dessert version of it, using heart shaped metal molds, allowing for a little more filling than the version on a stick. Yum!

    Hmmm, Hmmmm, Hmmmm, so wishing I was eating one of these right now. I am not a big dessert eater, but my Momma was one of the best bakers in the whole world. The one dessert I would not pass up was her cherry pie. So good. I think it’s the first time I ever saw it presented this way, the stick is really cool. I will try out your recipe because I know you and your Mom are pretty special in the kitchen. Love the Freesia flower, I buy these often. love the history about the plants. Thanks for sharing you creative inspirations over at Sunday’s Best.
